France Education System

There are three stages in the French education system: Primary, secondary and higher. There are many public institutions and central administrations at the elementary and secondary levels of education.

Primary education:

Secondary education:

Once the primary school education is completed, children move for secondary education which is divided into two stages. Higher education:

In higher education, students either choose to pursue a vocational diploma or an academic diploma. Vocational diplomas have two types: BTS and DUT whereas in Academic diplomas, there are three institutions: Universities, Grandes écoles, and specialized schools. In universities, students get academic, technical, and professional degrees and they are public institutions. Special schools can be either public or private institutions that provide students training in professional careers in fields such as art, architecture, social work, or tourism.

Scholarships in France for International Students

There are more than 500 French government scholarships for meritorious Scholarships to study in France for International students. In India, the French Embassy in addition to its French companies award scholarships of at least 11 crore Indian rupees to the students who wish to pursue their higher education In France.  Apart from this, the French Embassy also provides scholarships by collaborating with both private and public universities. France Universities are famous for their scholarships which require the highest level of academic record and aptitude like Eiffel Scholarships. Students have to apply for these scholarships directly at the time of admission.

Getting Admissions in France Universities

The academic session in France runs from September to June the following year. 12 years of school completion is necessary. For international students, some additional qualifications are necessary depending on which country they are coming from. Learning French is not necessary as almost all the universities provide course education in English. Sometimes, for graduate and undergraduate courses qualification of exams like IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, or LSAT are required. It is suggested to apply at least in three universities to increase the chances of selection.

  •  Documents required: Mark sheets of class 10th, 12th, UG, and PG (if required).
  •  Evidence of English Language proficiency like TOEFL, IELTS.
  • Students will need a Portfolio for Art, Design, and Architecture program
  • Copies of passport both Back and Front
